It’s So Good to Talk to Someone Who “Gets It”
Leaving a high-control religious or spiritual environment can feel overwhelming. After years of harmful beliefs or practices, separating those teachings from your true self is challenging—but you don’t have to do it alone.
We’ve walked this path. For 20 years, we were part of a toxic church that shaped our beliefs through manipulation. Our journey out led to healing, insight, and a desire to help others find freedom and clarity.
At Anchor of Hope Therapy and Coaching, we provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support for individuals and families healing from cult experiences, “church hurt,” spiritual abuse, or high-control religious environments. We help rebuild identity, restore trust, and reclaim personal beliefs—agenda-free.
Many people reach out concerned about a family member involved in a cult-like or high-control environment. While we do not provide “deprogramming,” we offer guidance, coping strategies, and emotional support to help you navigate these relationships while caring for yourself.
Our counseling and coaching create a safe space to process experiences, rediscover your identity, and explore beliefs without fear or shame. We empower you to reclaim your life, rebuild confidence, and move forward with clarity.
Stephen, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Life Coach, and Kristy, a Certified Life Coach, offer sessions individually or together. Services are available nationwide.
Your healing matters. Anchor of Hope Therapy and Coaching is here to walk with you as you reclaim autonomy and find emotional and spiritual freedom.
