The Way Out To Freedom
The Trauma Prayer, Scriptures, Soaking Prayer and Meditation offered below are wonderful ways to get still with God.
These can be a valuable "grounding" tools to recenter yourself in the midst of hardship, pain or discouragement.
Abba Father,
You are the King of kings, The Lord of Lords, The Good Shepherd,
You know me and love me.
Oh Lord, I come before you as your precious son/daughter and stand upon your Word which is sharper than a two-edged sword. I pray that you will teach me to follow your decrees, and I will keep them to the end. That you will give me understanding, that you will direct me in the path of your commands, and I will find great delight in You and your Word. (Ps 119 33-35)
May I turn my heart to You and your statutes and not toward selfish gain. That I will turn my eyes away from worthless things, and You will preserve my life according to your Word. (Ps 119:36-37) I pray that I will walk in freedom. (Ps 119:45) May I find favor with you LORD, and you will establish the work of my hands. (Ps 90:17)
Thank you that You will instruct and teach me in the way I should go. That you will counsel me and watch over me. (Ps 32:8) May I walk in confidence knowing that I am your child, your son/daughter, that I have been blessed in the Heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For you chose me to be holy and blameless in your sight. (Eph 1:3-4)
Thank you for giving me the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I may know you better. I pray also that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened in order that I may know the hope to which you called me, the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints, and your incomparably great power to me, who believes. (Eph 1:17-19)
May I live a life worthy of you, LORD, and may I please you in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of you, being strengthened with all power according to your glorious might that I may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to You, Father, who has qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. (Col 1:10-12)
Thank you that I am your workmanship, LORD, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which you prepared in advance for me to do. (Eph 2:10)
I pray that out of your glorious riches you would strengthen me with your power through your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ will dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I will be rooted and established in love and will have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of GOD. (Eph 3:16-19)
Thank you, LORD, that you are equipping me, and I will live a life worthy of the calling I have received. That I will be completely humble and gentle, patient, bearing with others in love. (Eph 4:1- 2)
I pray that I will not let any unwholesome talk come out of my mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Eph 4:29) I pray that I will be an imitator of you, GOD as a dearly loved child, and live a life of love. (Eph 5:1) I pray that I will be a man/woman of faith, living by faith, knowing that I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Gal 2:20)
May I live a life of thanksgiving. I will sing and make music in my heart to you, LORD always giving thanks to You for everything, telling of all your wonderful acts. (Eph 5:19, Ps 105:2) I pray that you LORD, would fill me with joy and peace as I trust in You, so that I will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13) May I live in awe of You, look to you and your strength, seeking your face always. (Ps 105:4) I pray my mind, soul and spirit will sing the words of Ps 108: "For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, Oh God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth.”
May I live in complete dependence and surrender to You, abiding in You, remaining in You, living John 15:5 every day of my life: I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
I pray that I will be strong in you, LORD and in your mighty power. Putting on the full armor of GOD so that I can take my stand against the devil's schemes. Standing firm with the belt of Truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, that I would take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. That I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of GOD. That I would pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. (Eph 6:10-18)
LORD, please give me endurance and encouragement and a spirit of unity among the saints of God, as we follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth we will glorify the GOD and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)
Now may the GOD of peace make me holy in every way and may my whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our LORD Jesus Christ comes again. (1 Thess 5:23) Amen
